EXPLORE CUBA WITH TWO DIFFERENT CRUISE STYLES

GLP Worldwide Offers Two Distinct Ways to Cruise Around Cuba - July 29, 2014

TORONTO –  Cuba is on the must-see list of many Canadians with more wishing to fully explore the island and getting beyond the resort area.  GLP Worldwide offers travellers the opportunity to visit and cruise around Cuba two different ways - small sailing cruise ship and a larger cruise ship vessel.  GLP Worldwide is the Canadian representative for Variety Cruises and Cuba Cruises.

“There is an increasing desire by Canadians to get beyond the resort compound and see the real Cuba and we are excited to offer agents and their clients two culture and activity focused itineraries with two different styles of cruise ships,” said Alan Law, director of sales and marketing for GLP Worldwide Expedition Travel and Tours.

Variety Cruises
For a more intimate cruise and travel experience Variety Crusies offers a 7-night Sights & Sounds of Cuba itinerary.  Sail around Cuba with various ports of call in more remote areas and inland waterways that a larger vessel can't access.  Enjoy Cuba on a state-of-the-art recently refurbished sailing cruiser, the S/C Panorama.   The small ship has only 25 cabins.  It may be small but not in comfort and amenities.  The vessel has two bars, sun deck, two lounges, library, swimming platform, cabins with wooden furniture, marble finished bathrooms, air-conditioned cabins, TV, mini-fridge and safety boxes.

This is a very personalized cruise experience where you have the opportunity to meet your fellow passengers and engage directly with the ship's crew.  Due to its smaller size you can access more waterways inaccessible to larger ships.

GLP Worldwide offers these cruises starting at only $2,790 per person for a Category "C" cabin.  Highlights include:  guided tours of Old Havana; excursion to the scenic Valley of the Vinales; visit to Guanahacabibes National Park, a huge nature reserve; meeting naturists and locals at an enviromental centre; snorkelling in underground caves and visit to Sea Turtle Breeding Centre in Cayo Largo; exploring the museum city of Casilda; and visit the Bay of Pigs area.

CUBA CRUISE:

For those preferring to be on a larger cruise ship and the extra amenities it can offer passengers, then Cuba Cruise would be the ideal choice.  Passengers will experience Cuba but with some  Canadian comforts and food choices that gives them the best of both worlds.   Board the 1,200 passenger ship with 480 staterooms.   There are a variety of cabin categories with some including a balcony.   The seven night cruises begin at only $633.00 CAD per person for a standard inside cabin "A" category.   The 10-deck ship features a swimming pool, bars, restaurants, spa and a casino.  "Your ship" is your playground and you can decide whether to stay on board or go on the various excursions to explore Cuba.  Enjoy local delicacies and cuisine as well as top Canadian beef and produce which is provided on board.  This all-inclusive cruise holiday includes full breakfast, lunch and dinner daily; fitness centre; supervised children's program for ages 4-12; daily entertainment and night entertainment programme.  It is ideal for those wanting a full ship experience.  You have the option of joining the cruise in Havana or Montego Bay in Jamaica.

Highlights include: visiting Havana and seeing the old streets and markets; stopping in Holguin and its world famous beaches and La Mensura National Park; marvel at the sights and architecture in Santiago de Cuba; tour the "Isle of Youth" and savour the taste and scents of a beach barbeque; visit the colonial village of Trinidad; and spend some time in Montego Bay from snorkelling, shopping, or horseback riding on the beach.

GLP Worldwide Announces “Par Adjustment”

Book By March 1, 2014 and Save

TORONTO - GLP Worldwide Expedition Travel & Tours, which represents a wide range of cruise and land products in Canada, has announced a “par adjustment” for all their 2014 land programs and cruises.   Deposits received on or before March 1, 2014 for any programmes or cruises will NOT be subject to any currency adjustment.   After March 1, 2014 all Canadian currency fares will be subject to a 6% par adjustment increase.
“The Canadian dollar has decreased significantly in value against the U.S. dollar the past few months and up to this point we have tried to absorb all those extra costs to make it easier for the agents and their clients,” explained  Alan Law, director of sales and marketing for GLP Worldwide Expedition Travel and Tours.  “Even though the Canadian dollar currently sits around 10 cents below the U.S. dollar we have decided to only add a 6% par adjustment increase and will be absorbing the remainder.”

Law states that agents will have the option to pay in Canadian or U.S. currency and if they pay in U.S. currency of course no par adjustment increase would result.   It is up to the agent’s client on their preference of payment and GLP Worldwide will accept payment in either currency.
