Book in Canada with GLP Worldwide Expedition
TORONTO – Long considered a leader in cruising, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has backed it up with garnering many international awards. Canadians can book this award winning cruise line by contacting GLP Worldwide Expedition Travel and Tours which represents Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines in Canada.
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines was crowned ‘Best Cruise Lines for Groups’ at the ‘Group Leisure Awards 2011’ for the second consecutive year in England. The awards were presented September 21, 2011 in Birmingham, England. The awards were first established in 1997, and are voted for by readers of Group Leisure magazine and groupleisure.com. The readers of Group Leisure include Group Travel Organisers (GTOs) for major sports and social clubs, retired groups, National Trust groups, PROBUS groups, Women’s Institutes as well as groups of friends and family.
“Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is a first-rate cruise line and it’s no surprise they continue to win awards, “ Patrick Tsung, president of GLP Worldwide Expedition Travel & Tours. “The new Vistas cultural and education programmes they recently added enhances the cruise experience for those passengers who really enjoy learning something on a trip but in an informative and entertaining manner,” Tsung added.
This Group Leisure award follows hot on the heels of Fred. Olsen’s success at the recent ‘Cruise International Awards 2011’. The cruise line swept the board at these new consumer awards with the hotly-contested accolade of ‘Cruise Line of the Year’, as well as being voted ‘Best Educational Cruise’ for its Vistas onboard enrichment programme – which has featured the likes of The Archers and an Agatha Christie-themed cruise – and ‘Best Live Performance’ for classical duo, The OperaBabes, as part of Fred. Olsen’s popular ‘Music & Laughter’ programme, along with a ‘Highly Commended’ award for ‘Best Value Cruise Line’.
Fred. Olsen Cruises has launched a comprehensive range of new on board programmes called Vistas catering to a variety of special interests. These Vistas provide cruise passengers the opportunity to learn more about different subjects that interest them and all at no extra cost. The Vistas programme cover a range of topics including photography, ballroom dancing, the history of weather, antiques, classical music, gardens and gardening, history of the Royal Family and many more.
Fred. Olsen Cruises are ideal for those mature clients who want a more personalized cruise experience with its ships large enough (818 to 1350 passenger capacity ships) that you feel you have plenty of room but not feel like you are in a labyrinth and can never find your way. Its fleet offer all the modern conveniences but without all the hassle of a large vessel – and it can access points in the heart of city that much larger ships cannot.
Agents can obtain copies of the new Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines 2011 printed brochure by contacting Hippo Express or if they need a larger quantity by contacting GLP Worldwide. Pricing is in Canadian dollars. The 2012 e-brochure for Fred. Olsen Cruises Lines is now online at www.glpworldwide.com – please inquire for Canadian dollar pricing.
