Testimonials Highlights of Norway - The flight on Icelandair, the transfers, the hotels, the food, the local guides, meeting the delightful Norwegian people and the opportunity to sail the fjords, it is all like a beautiful dream you do not want to wake from. Our cruise onboard the Hurtigruten MS Polarlys was absolutely tremendous. We were treated like royalty. The excursions were excellent giving us an opportunity to learn about their history, experience their culture and visit the quaint cities, towns and villages. Argentina & Antarctica - . . .
There’s a whole continent at the bottom of the world, and we’d just been there. Still, travel really is about the journey, not the destination and this seems especially true for Antarctica . Luckily, although it may still be the end of the earth, one no longer has to embark on the “worst journey in the world” (Apsley Cherry-Garrard’s title for his account of Scott’s last expedition) to experience a taste of this wild and desolate place. Although I didn’t set foot on the continent of Antarctica, my journey though ice wind and stormy weather was a glorious one. John Steinbeck said it best: “…we do not take a trip; a trip takes us.” Dr. Jean Clarke Vancouver, BC Falklands/Malvinas, South Georgia & Antarctica - . . . Wow! I just wanted to send a quick message to tell you how very much we all enjoyed the voyage. The Nordnorge was fantastic, staff amazing, and Antarctica was very, very dramatic and wonderful. We felt very safe on the ship even in high seas and we enjoyed a trip we will never forget. Thank you so very much for your help. Carole Sellars
Disko Bay & Thule - . . . This experience was absolutely a wonderful, beautiful trip. We enjoyed every bit of it. The crew was most hospitable and helpful, the scenery along the way gorgeous, and the route of this seaway certainly most interesting. We didn't want to miss a thing, and tried to be up at all the small towns along the way. At each one we found something new and different. Peggy Arness
Scandinavian Sampler. . . Mother Nature provided the most wonderful entertainment without a comedian, dancing girls, or a jazz band . . . We were constantly surprised and delighted by what we saw! We let our eyes capture each beautiful moment, and our hearts were filled with exquisite sights before us. A seagull perched on a flagpole was our acrobat. A group of whales jumping gracefully out of the water was natures ballet . . . The sea was the stage and the beauty of the Midnight Sun cast a glow over the dancing waves. Edna Pores
Norway Splendour - My family and I visited Norway last year. We spent 11 days of our trip cruising the west coast . . . The trip was perfect in every way. No crew or captain could have been more pleasant, helpful, or efficient. Our tour guide, Carl, was the model of a perfect guide - efficient, entertaining, and just a delight. The food was superb! In fact, now almost six months later, I keep reliving the wonderful tastes in my mind, and wish I was back on board again. Needless to say, the scenery was indescribably magnificent. What a trip - what memories we have. It was the best thing my family did for itself and each other. Lillian Broadwick
Grand Norway - . . . What a wonderful voyage we experienced! . . . The crew members were so accommodating and we were so impressed with the friendliness, helpfulness, and efficiency . . . The food was outstanding - presentation and quality couldn't have been better . . . One of the most delightful parts of this trip was being exposed to all the different European nationalities . . . Beth Guepin
Norwegian Holiday - . . . It was the most enjoyable vacation I ever had. Everything was just about perfect, the accommodations, the service, the food. The employees were all very helpful and kind - including Captain Ottar Nilssen and his crew . . . Norway is such a clean and beautiful country. I gladly recommend this trip to anyone. Ruth M. Kvalheim
Norway Splendour - . . . One can really appreciate the beauty and cleanliness of this lovely country which is at once reminiscent of ... the Alaska coast . . . Each day brought new and wondrous scenes before our eyes . . . The ports (34 in all!) were always interesting to just stroll around or go shopping or simply watch the unloading of our ship . . . This is a cruise/tour I highly recommend to everyone . . . Lois Sheets
Falklands/Malvinas, South Georgia & Antarctica - To travel to Antarctica is like a dream come true. The seals will amuse you and the penguins will steal your heart. If you just stand still, the next thing you know a penguin will come right up to you. Every day is full of fascinating activities. The boat crews who took us ashore made it so easy that even passengers using canes were able to join in the fun. I think seeing the King Penguins at Fortuna Bay in South Georgia was one of the highlights of my life. My thanks go out to Norwegian Coastal Voyages for such a wonderful trip. |
