Itinerary

Day 1   Home City – Shanghai

Your journey begins with an overnight transpacific flight across the International Date Line.

Day 2 Arrive Shanghai.

Meet & transfer to the hotel

HOTEL: GALAXY HOTEL or similar

Day 3 Shanghai (B. L. D)

Full day tour to the Bund, the Old Downtown, classical Yu Garden & Shanghai Museum. If time available we’ll visit a Carpet Factory. Tonight we enjoy the famous Shanghai Acrobatic Show.

Day 4 Shanghai  (B.L)

Today’s highlight is to visit Shanghai World EXPO. It covers a large area of over 5.6 Square KM with 27 master halls. The theme is to show all new creational hopes, concepts, designs, technologies, and present to the world a full potential of urban life in the 21st century as a significant one for urban evolution with a New Approaches of Human Habitat, Beautiful Lifestyle. (Shanghai EXPO is open for May 01 – Oct31, but during Feb01-Apr29, Nov01-Dec31 pre & post exhibitions might also be available for visit. If Shanghai EXPO is not available, we’ll visit the ancient water-town Zhujiajiao & Jade Buddha Temple.)

Day 5 Shanghai/Yichang by air, Yangtze River Cruises (B, L, D)

Fly to Yichang & board the cruise ship               

CRUISE: MV SPLENDID CHINA

Day 6 Yangtze Cruise  (B. L. D)

Excursion to the New Dam Site

CRUISE: MV SPLENDID CHINA

Day 7 Yangtze Cruise (B. L. D)

Excursion to the Lesser Three Gorges

CRUISE: MV SPLENDID CHINA

Day 8 Yangtze Cruise  (B. L. D)

Excursion to Fengdu Ghost City or Shibaozai

CRUISE: MV SPLENDID CHINA

Day 9 Chongqing/Xian by air (B. L. D)

Disembark at Chongqing pier.  If time permits, take a city tour

Transfer & fly to Xian.

Day 10 Xian  (B. L. SD)

Full day tour to Terra-cotta Warriors & Bronze Chariots

Afternoon on the way back we’ll visit the Ceramics & Pottery Center.

Evening: Dumpling Dinner & Tang Dynasty Show

Day 11 Xian/Beijing by air              (B, L. D)

Transfer & fly to Beijing, check-in hotel

Afternoon tour to Summer Palace with a boat cruise on Kunming Lake

Evening: enjoy a cultural show

HOTEL: CHANG AN GRAND HOTEL BEIJING or similar

Day 12 Beijing (B. L. D)

Full day tour to Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Panda House at Beijing Zoo & Temple of Heaven. If time available we’ll visit a Pearl workshop.

Day 13 Beijing  (B. L. SD)

Take photo at the exterior of Bird Nest & Water Cube

Tour to Great Wall at Badaling, Ming Tomb & Sacred Way

If time available we’ll visit a Jade stone carving factory

Evening: Peking Duck Dinner

Day 14 Beijing – Home City (B)

Free time in the morning before departing for the airport for your transpacific flight home.
