Day 1 Home City – Shanghai

Your journey begins with an overnight transpacific flight across the International Date Line.

Day 2 Arrive Shanghai

Meet and  transfer to your hotel.

Hotel:Ramada Plaza Gateway Hotel (3 nights)

Day 3 Shanghai (B/L/D)

This morning we start by visiting the legendary Bund, the Jade Budda Temple and the elegant Yu Garden. Then enjoy a Shanghai Dim Sum lunch at a local restaurant prior to visiting the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall and a Shanghai Silk Carpet Factory.  Tonight a Western Buffet Dinner is served in your hotel.

Day 4 Shanghai (B/D)

Today's highlight is a full day visit to the Shanghai World Exhibition (Shanghai EXPO). The Exhibition covers a large area of over 5.6 km² with 27 master halls built as an example of sustainable and harmonious urban living as indicated by the Expo Theme "Better City. Better Life". Enjoy lunch on your own at one of the many food venues at the EXPO. Tonight enjoy a wonderful Chinese dinner followed by an amazing acrobatic show.

Day 5 Shanghai / Suzhou - by coach or train (B/L/D)

Today we drive to Suzhou (90 minutes) or by Express Train, (1 hour).  Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. This afternoon the highlight in Suzhou is a Grand Canal Cruise followed by a visit to the "Three Attractions at Panmen" and to Fishman Net Master Garden (UNESCO).

Day 6 Suzhou / Hangzhou - by coach  (B/L/D) 

We visit the new Suzhou Museum (designed by I.M. Pei) this morning and the Embroidery Research Institute. This lunch we drive to Hangzhou by coach or by Express Train if available.

Day 7 Hangzhou  (B/L/D)

A full day of sightseeing includes a boat ride on West Lake, a visit to Hau Gang Park, a visit to the Lingyin Temple and the Dragon Well Tea  Plantation.  Enjoy lunch today in a local restaurant and tonight a buffet dinner at the hotel with unlimited soft drinks, tea or coffee.

Day 8 Hangzhou / Yellow Mountain / Tunxi - by coach (B/L/D)

This morning visit the Qinghefang ancient street, a Chinese Herb Medicine Museum and an ancient Garden House, the "Hu Xueyan Mansion'. After lunch in a local restaurant we drive to Yellow Mountain then to our hotel in Tunxi. Tonight enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day 9 Yellow Mountain (B/L/D)

Our morning begins with a cable car ride to the top of Yellow Mountain where we begin a full-day's sightseeing where the region's "Four Ultimate Beauties' are on display. Included is a Chinese Lunch at the hotel. Tonight, dinner at our hotel located on Yellow Mountain.

Day 10 Yellow Mountain / Tunxi / Shanghai - by air (B/L/D)

This morning we continue our guided tour of Yellow Mountain and enjoy the panoramic views. Following lunch at the hotel we take the cable car down to visit the town of Tunxi where we will enjoy dinner. Tonight we fly from Tunxi to Shanghai where upon arrival we transfer to our hotel

Day 11  Depart Shanghai  (B)

Meet on arrival and transfer to your luxury accommodation.

Day 2 Beijing (B/L/D)

Today enjoy a full day of sightseeing including visits to Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City (UNESCO) and the famous Summer Palace (UNESCO), where weather permitting; we will enjoy a boat ride on the Kunming Lake. A Chinese Lunch is served at a local restaurant. For dinner, enjoy a Welcome Peking Duck Dinner including unlimited Chinese tea and a complimentary glass of wine, beer or a soft drink.   

Day 3 Beijing (B/L/D)

Our full day of sightseeing today features the Great Wall (UNESCO), the Sacred Way, and the Ming Tomb at Changling (UNESCO). We will also drive by the "Beijing 2008 Olympic Site" -the Bird's Nest & Water Cube -with spectacular opportunities for photography tonight. Features a Chinese Dinner followed by a Kung-Fu Show.

Day 4  Beijing / Shanghai - by air (B/L)

This morning visit the Temple of Heaven plus a Hutong Tour by pedicabs to visit a local family where we will enjoy a dumpling lunch.  This afternoon we will transfer to the airport for a flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel, and join the balance of the tour as outlined above.
