Itenerary

Day 1: Arrival Bangkok
Arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport
You will be met by a representative and transferred to the hotel in Bangkok.

This new riverside hotel sets a new standard for modern design with a relaxed atmosphere. There are river views from every room and also sweeping views over Bangkok and to the West over Thonburi. The hotel is accessible by road or river. The 32 storey hotel has a broad river frontage with private pier and also has a check in lounge at River City shopping arcade opposite the hotel, so guests can check in and then be ferried across the river into a new world.

There are 543 rooms ranging from Deluxe room, Deluxe Plus room, Executive River View room, Deluxe River View Suite, Executive River View Suites, Two Bedroom River View Suites and one Royal Suite. Modern conveniences in rooms at Millenium Hilton include: air con, hair dryer, broadband, dual line direct dial telephones with dual port and voicemail and facilities for freshly brewed coffee and tea.

Day 2 Bangkok (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

A.M. Thonburi Klongs (Canals) with Grand Palace

Firstly, we will visit the Grand Palace, comprising the Funeral Palace, the Reception Palace, the Throne Hall, the Coronation Hall, the Royal Guest House, and the beautiful Emerald Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Kaew). Then we will travel by longtail boat through the klongs to see the family homes, temples and way of life, which gives this city the name “Venice of the East”. Stop at the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun) whose 79m spire has become so identified with Bangkok. There will be time for making photos.
Afterward, you will be transferred by “Tuk Tuk” (2 persons/vehicle) and boat to Supatra River House for lunch.

Evening, dinner at Sirocco, dramatic and exciting is words to describe this restaurant on the 63rd floor of the State Tower Building. Drink and dine here and you will be among the stars both literally and figuratively. Popular with the city’s glitterati, it is a place to be seen. Sky Bar provides a view you will never forget. Accommodation at your choice as listed above.

Day 3: Bangkok (Breakfast, Dinner)
After breakfast, transfer to the Prasart Museum (closed on Mondays.) This privately owned venue is rarely shown to the public. Those who are lucky enough to be invited to this elegant museum, set in landscaped tropical gardens, will quickly realize it’s a hidden gem for Thai art lovers. The collector, Mr. Prasart Vongsakul, began to acquire Thai antiquities in 1965 when he was only 12 years old. The museum has a large collection of antiques from the prehistoric to the Rattanakosin Era. The buildings, in which the antiquities are housed, were designed by the collector himself, either as direct replicas or playful combinations of his favorite palaces and pavilions from around the country. Afternoon is at leisure.

Evening: Thai Dinner & Classical Dance at Sala Rim Nam, The Oriental Bangkok
Spend your evening at leisure, enjoy a delicious genuine Thai style dinner in a delightful Thai atmosphere surrounded by beautiful decoration. The meal is accompanied by Thai classical music and dances. The dancers with their beautiful littering costumes and graceful movements will stay in your memory forever. Accommodation at your choice as listed above.

Day 4: Bangkok – Mekhala Cruise (Breakfast, Dinner)
Breakfast at the hotel and morning at leisure. Welcome aboard the legendary Mekhala for an enchanting journey along the magnificent Chao Phaya River. Converted several years ago from a traditional teak rice barge, the Mekhala graces the river as a unique floating hotel. (Remark: From 01 – 30 June, there is no operation for annual boat maintenance. And daily departure is at 14.00hr with minimum 2 persons.)
Six and nine double-berth cabins, immaculately appointed, there are queen-size double bunks, cushioned sofa (which can serve as a third bunk for child), dressing table and a private shower room. The wooden floor & walls and fittings are richly varnished. Up on deck, there is perfect area for sunbathing with chairs and cushions, a cozy corner and dinning area.
Afternoon, you will be picked up from hotel and then transfer to pier for embarkation. Departure from Bangkok by the “Legendary River Cruiser Mekhala”. Cruising up the Chao Phraya River with spectacular views of the Grand Palace and the Temple of Dawn. Just after dark the MEKHALA will dock at Wat Kai Tia, a Thai temple set in a tranquil rural village. An exquisite candlelit dinner of mouth-watering Thai cuisine is served on the deck.

Day: 5 Mekhala – Ayuthaya – Depart Bangkok (Breakfast, Lunch)
Optional: Visit the temple as the sun rises and joining traditional alms offerings to Buddhist monks at the temple.
A delicious breakfast is served on board. Then, depart for Bang Pa In where your guide will take you to visit the Summer Palace. Continue by long tailed boat to the Ancient Capital of Ayuthaya. After lunch at local restaurant, visit the idyllic ruins of the once glorious capital destroyed by the Burmese. In the late afternoon, return to your hotel in Bangkok by air-conditioned car. Arrive Bangkok and transfer to Suvarnabhumi Airport where you will board on your departure flight.
