Family charters are available aboard all our hotel barges. You have the whole vessel to yourselves and she becomes a home from home, except we look after all the hard work!

Even if you are not normally a lover of shopping, the vast array of fascinating shops and markets you can discover on one of our cruises may change your mind.

Barging is a unique experience, offering a combination of relaxation, gastronomy and immersion in the local landscape and culture. We started in 1974 and have gradually expanded to offer 17 vessels in 6 countries, some of which we have converted ourselves from original cargo barges. We believe that no one else has such a wealth of experience and many of our guests return year after year.

Our vacations are all inclusive, which means:

• 6 Nights accommodation on board in an air-conditioned en-suite cabin
• All transfers, plus daily excursions by chauffeured barge mini van and inclusive entry fees to Castles, Exclusive Vineyards, Markets and local Historical and Cultural places of interest.
• The services of our experienced Captain / Host, Chef, Housekeeper(s) Driver/Tour Guide
• Breakfast Lunch and Dinner aboard. All lunch and evening meals aboard are a gastronomic adventure with local produce
• Local lunch ashore, once per week on most barges. Depending on the route, this may well be in a Michelin restaurant.
• An excellent selection of fine regional and international wines and spirits plus all day Open Bar, tea and coffee.
• Use of barge facilities such as bicycles, boules, barge library and on certain vessels a spa pool.
